Visit the Beatus Caves
You visit the Beatus Caves above Lake Thun. The associated cave museum shows the geology of the cave system. It informs about cave research and scientific results. You can visit the museum with an audio guide.

You visit the cave individually. On the way you will be informed on 25 information boards (German, English). Additionally you can use the free app "Saint Beatus".

The approximately one-hour tour leads over 297 steps and overcomes 87 meters in altitude. You walk through grottos, gorges and halls and admire enormous stalactite formations. You will encounter streams and waterfalls along the way. The stairs and paths are always damp and there is a constant temperature of 8 to 10°C in the caves.

Every Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. a brunch on the rock is offered in the restaurant "Stein und Sein" of the Beatus caves. You can also enjoy a wonderful view of Lake Thun and the surrounding mountains. The Sunday brunch is very popular, so we advise you to book your place in advance.
