Ticket cable car Melchsee-Frutt from Stöckalp

You take a 15-person gondola for about 20 minutes up to Melchsee-Frutt. The high plateau has mountain restaurants and hotels. You can enjoy beautiful hikes up here in summer and winter.

The Melchsee is about 54 hectares large and sits at an altitude of 1891 m above sea level. It’s a popular destination for anglers and hikers and offers a picturesque backdrop amidst the surrounding mountain landscape.

The Fruttli-Weg is a learning and experience trail with ten stations along the way. Fruttli, the marmot, is the star here. Around the lake, there are several fire pits with wood supplies and seating.

The Frutt train is a small tourist train that takes you across the plateau in summer if you’re not so good at walking.

In winter, the ski area has 36 km of slopes for skiing and snowboarding. 15 lifts transport guests. The winter sports area is located at altitudes of 1080 to 2255 m above sea level.

• Mountain Station: 1933 m above sea level (Melchsee-Frutt)

• Free parking available at the valley station

For tobogganers, the 8 km long descent from Melchsee-Frutt to Stöckalp is a special experience. In January and February, it's illuminated at night for night tobogganing. On these days, the cable car runs additionally from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM.
