- Almost all trains are easily accessible by wheelchair. However, there are still stations that are not yet barrier-free.
- With a wheelchair or baby carriage, it is advisable to travel to the Jungfraujoch with the 3S-Bahn Eiger Express from Grindelwald Terminal (via Eigergletscher station).
- Groups of 3 or more wheelchairs should in any case inform the ticket office clerk at the station of departure about the trip. This way, any necessary assistance can be organized.
- You can request free boarding and disembarkation assistance from the "SBB Call Center Handicap" up to 24 hours in advance.
- Access with a wheelchair or baby carriage to the main deck (2nd class) is possible on all BLS course ships. Wheelchair-accessible toilets are also available there.
- Not all mountain railroads have yet been converted to the extent that they can take wheelchairs. Often they can only be taken along when folded. In any case, you should ask the operator of the planned mountain railroad in advance.
- Dogs sometimes travel free of charge on public transport. However, if you want to travel without any worries, you can buy a Bernese Oberland Pass for your dog for a fixed price of CHF 30. This price is the same for all periods. Also for the 10-day pass you pay only CHF 30 for your dog.
