  • The wave pool offers an imitated surf zone with round cut stones at the edge. After fun in the waves you can relax super on the edge between the stones.
  • 8 water slides start at the slide tower "Mountain", which creates colorful light effects with a huge rock crystal. The 6m high steep wall of the Säntis Pipe water slide, for example, lets you slide down in a tire for 125m. You'll really pick up speed in the process.

The Säntispark has impressive water and bathing facilities, wellness facilities and saunas. The bathing park was built in 1986 and reopened in 2016 after a major renovation. Säntispark is located in the canton of St. Gallen in eastern Switzerland next to the city of St. Gallen. It is open all year round for bathers.

The Säntispark is a large leisure center on a total area of 18'700 m². On site you can do something good for your body, mind and soul. No matter if you are in the mood for action-packed sliding experiences or if you prefer to relax in the wellness area: Säntispark has the right offer for everyone. Sports enthusiasts can choose between several offers on site. Fitness or community sports at squash or badminton are both possible

About 2km north you will find the Seilpark Gründenmoos in Gründenstrasse, which belongs to the Säntispark: It has 7 courses with a grip height from 160 cm.

  • Starry Rush Slide: The slide is 125 m long in total and suitable for slide fans from 6 years old. It takes you through the magical dark with starry sky.
  • Ice Channel Slide: You can slide down the ice channel 180 m with airy tires. It is open for everyone from 7 years old.
  • Super G Slide: This slide for ages 7 and up has a double whammy. It goes down 120 m on a parallel tire slide with lots of fun.
  • Wildbach Slide: Like a raging torrent, the slide has been built 155 m long for children 8 years and older.
  • Wildwater Canyon Slide: Moving and wild waves take you 110 meters. Whitewater is accessible for visitors from 8 years old.
  • Whirlwind Slide: You slide down 90 m in a bowl and swirling water. The whirlwind is open for everyone from 10 years.
  • Säntis Pipe Slide: The Säntis Pipe is legendary. If you take a seat in the tire here, you'll feel like you're riding on the water in a half pipe as you whiz down! The action and fun factor is guaranteed for ages 10 and up
  • Fall slide: Here you can prove your courage, because this illuminated slide channel lets you off into free fall. The slide fun is accessible for the brave from 12 years.

Basin in Säntispark

For those who like it a little quieter, we recommend the impressively designed indoor and outdoor pool area. A highlight is definitely the wave pool surrounded by natural stone with imitated surf zone.

  • Wave pool: The wave pool is one of the central pools with surf zone and water fountain. You can always ride waves here on the hour. Or you can grab one of the relaxation loungers located around the pool and watch the action from there. The snake slide also opens into the pool and is permitted for use by children ages 2 and up.
  • Children's Pool World: Here toddlers can pass the time under a water rainbow, at the floating logs and with a dam game. For children 2 years and older, there is the sky slide and the wide slide to try out.
  • Outdoor pool: With a pleasant water temperature of 32 degrees, you can relax in the water on bubble loungers or stroll in the created torrent.
  • Indoor and outdoor brine bath: The spa bath with brine spring has 34 degrees water temperature and various massage jets.

Wellness in the Säntispark

The wellness world and sauna area at Säntispark will leave nothing to be desired. You can relax in the spa area with an individually selected massage, which you book in advance with your ticket. Or you can decide to sweat properly and healthily in the various indoor or outdoor saunas.

  • Sole Bath and Whirlpool: The brine bath is located in the main area of the water park and offers you a very good physical relaxation at a pleasant 34 degrees. You can use the brine bath indoors and outdoors. Outside there is also a whirlpool with massage jets. The bath and the whirlpool are included in the entrance fee.
  • Roman Irish Bath: This bath is just right for boosting your immune system. There are 12 stations where you can enjoy hot air baths and pleasant rest. We recommend you to make a reservation in advance. The bath is not included in the entrance fee.
  • PrivateSpa: PrivatSpa is for those who like it luxurious and want to be pampered with an individual spa offer for a day on 100 square meters. The offer includes an experience shower, a Finnish sauna, a steam bath and a whirlpool. Advance reservations are required for the PrivatSpa. The spa is not included in the entrance fee.
  • Massage offer: Choose between a classic or aroma oil massage here. Exclusive recommendation: the Thai massage, which uses herbal stamps to relieve your tension. Reservation by phone only. The massage offer costs extra and is not included in the entrance fee.

Restaurants in Säntispark

The five on-site gastronomic establishments have something to offer for every taste before, during or after the bathing experience.

  • Fairplay Restaurant: You'll find this restaurant in the Sportslounge. Here you can choose between different weekly menus and snacks from 15 CHF.
  • Beizli in the bath: For the small hunger in between and during the bath time, the Beizli is exactly the right recommendation for you. Drinks and snacks can be purchased with the chip wristband and paid for at the cash desk after your visit to the pool.
  • Room for your picnic: If you prefer to bring your own meals and enjoy them on site, you can do so in the picnic room. It is located between the wave pool and the brine pool.
  • Migros Restaurant: Here you will find a wide selection of food and drinks, various daily menus as well as coffee and cake.
  • Restaurant Schnabelweid: In the adjacent four-star Hotel Säntispark you will find the restaurant that is perfect for a visit after the bathing experience. Here you can expect a menu selection of the upper price range in a stylish ambience.
  • Ristorante Uliveto: The restaurant offers delicious Italian delicacies and is the second restaurant in the Hotel Säntispark. It is best to reserve a table by telephone.

Arrival Säntispark

The leisure center Säntispark is located in the municipality of Abtwil next to the city of St. Gallen. The park takes its name from a mountain of the Alpstein, a mountain range in the cantons of Appenzell Ausserrhoden, Appenzell Innerrhoden and St. Gallen. At 2502 meters above sea level, the Säntis is the highest peak of the mountain range.

by car

From Zurich to Abtwil it is an 80 km drive. By car you drive from Zurich on the A1 in the direction of St. Gallen. Then take the exit Winkeln/Abtwil. Already at the entrance of the village you can see the entrance to the Säntispark on the right side. The parking spaces are indicated by signs on site.

The Rope Park in Gründenstrasse belonging to the Säntispark can be reached after 2 km in a northerly direction via Kreuzbühlstrasse.

by public transport

By train you can reach Abtwil from Zurich in just over 1 hour and 30 minutes. From Zurich you take the train directly to St. Gallen. From here, bus no. 3 or 4 will take you to the Säntispark bus stop. You can reach the leisure center from the bus stop in 190 m after a 2 min walk.

Practical information about the Säntispark

So that you can really enjoy your stay in the Säntispark, we have put together some practical tips for you.

What you should pay attention to

  • Children under 12 years of age are only allowed to enter the pool when accompanied by a person of full age.
  • On weekends, the appointments for massages are usually booked up quickly from the start. We recommend that you book your appointment online in good time.
  • For privacy reasons, filming in the bathing area with cell phones or cameras is prohibited.
  • Swimming aids such as water wings are not allowed in the slides.

What you should bring

  • For the bath: swimwear, towel and bathing shoes.
  • Bath towels can also be rented on site.
  • For the sports area: sports clothes and badminton or squash rackets. Other practical information
  • Opening hours on holidays are based on regular weekday opening hours
  • If you buy a 10-entry ticket, the 11th entry is free.
  • Birthday children (and adults) get free entrance to the bath on the day of their birthday as well as a free round of bowling.
