Are there alternative launch options to the slope?
An alternative to launching from elevated terrain such as a slope or cliff is a tow launch. This is done, for example, with the help of an ultralight aircraft. It pulls the delta plane upwards in flat terrain by tow launch, including the pilot. A tow launch by a boat or a ground-based towing system is also possible. The pilot then disengages at the desired altitude.
What is the difference with paragliding?
Delta flying and paragliding differ in position and speed. Delta flying works more flat and fast, simply more dynamic. Delta flying requires more time to set up / dismantle the glider.
